All-round Service and Maintenance Engineer for the Daytime Shift - Tilburg

PWT Bierens specializes in gear technology for many industrial and marine applications.
In a modern and pleasant working environment PWT Bierens employees produce gear wheels to a diameter of 20 meters.
For this purpose we are looking for an all-round service and maintenance engineer for the day shift.

Job description
In the function of the all-round service and maintenance engineer you are responsible for the following activities:

Maintain the complete machinery and accompanying installations in operating condition;
Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance of all metal working machines;
Carry out inspections of various chippers;
Trouble shoot and carry out emergency repairs, both mechanical, hydraulic and electrical;
Provide and implement suggestions for improvement of the machinery’s quality;
Prepare maintenance schedules and schedule the maintenance of the entire machinery; Keep accurate records for registration of all malfunctions and repairs.

Job requirements
For this all-round key role, you have a professional and intellectual MBO-4 level in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics with knowledge of Electrical Engineering. You have several years of practical experience in (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic) maintenance of metal working machines. Knowledge of CNC machines and Siemens/Heidenhain controllers would be an advantage, as well as knowledge of PLCs (Siemens). You like tinkering and you will have a large amount of freedom. You can to read hydraulic/electrical diagrams. In the event of a malfunction outside working hours, you will be required to be willing to primarily be available by telephone.

Working conditions
The job is a permanent job in which you directly enter employment with PWT Bierens. The Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) for Metalektro (Metal and Electronics) applies. The function is a daytime shift function; working hours are from 08.00 - 16.30 hours.

Technical Purchaser - Tilburg

Job description
In the function of the technical purchaser you are responsible for the following activities:

Purchase, order, monitor and after-care of all technical products and materials for the Production department;
Prepare calls for tenders to suppliers and assess these requests on the basis of factors such as price, delivery time, quality and other delivery conditions;
Supervise the entire purchasing process from assessment of the request up to and including the ordering of all materials required;
Together with the Purchasing Manager determine the purchasing strategy of all companies belonging to the PWT Group;
Monitor orders and complain when the agreements made with suppliers are not met;
Act as the point of contact for internal customers and maintain daily contacts with foreign suppliers such as e.g. foundries, forges and welding companies.

Job requirements
You have a technical MBO-4 certificate, e.g. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. You have a number of years of work experience in a similar position within the metal industry. Good knowledge of the English and German language, orally and in writing, is a must! You work accurately and independently and you maintain a helicopter view in a dynamic work environment. Short visits to suppliers within Europe may be part of your job. The job is a full-time job for 40 hours per week.
